Claudia Pattison supports the Human Resources function with The Noble Law and has worked in a part-time capacity with the Firm for more than 10 years. She began her professional career while working at N.C. State University where, while holding a full-time job, she received her bachelor’s degree with honors in psychology and a master’s degree in public administration. Her last role with the university was that of Assistant Affirmative Action Officer when she made the decision to carry on this work in the corporate business world. Claudia was hired by Nortel to take on the role of Equal Opportunity Coordinator and worked with the company for 14 years.
During that time, she was responsible for writing the affirmative action plan for one of the divisions of the company and moved through the organization in a variety of roles culminating in her final position as Senior Employee Relations Manager. Her major responsibilities included writing and implementing DEI Initiatives; investigating employee relations complaints; collecting, analyzing and reporting on employee relations data for an international team; and management training in sexual harassment prevention and employment law.
In 2000, she left Nortel and began employee relations work as a contractor with Glaxo Welcome prior to its merger with Smith, Kline, Beachum. Her initial assignment was for a 3-month project auditing all of the company’s employee relations investigative files. After this initial assignment, she continued working with GlaxoSmithKline for the next 8 years. During this time, she wrote policies, delivered training programs, conducted high-level investigations, served as an HR Manager with the sales force and was a recruiter for the manufacturing and packaging departments of GSK’s Zebulon plant. Having received FDA approval for a new product to be manufactured in Zebulon, she was responsible for hiring over 350 people during her 18 months in this role. She left GSK in 2008 when there was a company-wide layoff of all contractors.
Following her departure from GSK, she worked as a consultant for a number of companies in the local area and during this time met Laura Noble, Managing Partner of The Noble Law.
