Prior to joining The Noble Law, Ms. Mayer worked for over a decade with the U.S. Department of Justice. Ms. Mayer’s first role with the DOJ was as Assistant General Counsel for the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys.
In that role, Ms. Mayer provided advice and counsel to employers and handled litigation concerning Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and other federal employment statutes. Ms. Mayer provided representation in front of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protections Board.
In addition, Ms. Mayer was an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of North Carolina. As an AUSA, Ms. Mayer handled a variety of federal litigation, including the False Claims Act, white collar investigations, and employment discrimination matters. Ms. Mayer also clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Guillermo R. Garcia for the Southern District of Texas.
